You just know when a wedding features AMAZING accessories (hello bridal heart-shaped handbag and Tatty Devine necklaces!), a Mariachi band and a suggestion from Nan to have a proper East-End ‘knees up’ that it’s going to be something special. And OH MY is Clare and Eddy’s Smithfield’s wedding exactly that.
This lovely couple – who live in County Durham and have two gorgeous children – headed back to the bride’s family roots in London. They married at St Bartholomew the Great (where Clare’s dad was christened!) and then celebrated at St Bart’s Brewery with a gorgeously rustic homemade reception.
Here’s beautiful bride Clare to tell us all…
I never thought Eddy would ask me to marry him, we did everything back to front; kids first and then a house so we’re practically married. We had a family day out to Robin Hoods Bay/Whitby and was looking for fossils on the beach when he got down on one knee and said these are the stones I should be looking for and had a ring in his hand. I was speechless! He had asked my dad permission and everything!
