As festival season is upon us we thought we’d share Gaz and Roo’s gorgeous festival inspired wedding in Cheshire.
From wedding brews and bell tents to BBQs and bunting, this outdoors wedding was full of fun festival wedding inspiration and we love it!
Over to the lovely couple, Gaz and Roo for the low-down on their festival inspired Manchester and Cheshire wedding….
As we had family members at the time of the wedding who lived as far north in the country as the Orkney Isles and as far south as Brighton we needed a venue that was located quite centrally in the country, and as we had only recently moved to Manchester we thought this would be an ideal area for everyone to be able to travel to. We were also looking for beautiful countryside and Linnet Clough was perfect.
We had a morning ceremony at Manchester Registry Office at the Heron Suite, performed by a long standing friend of Gareth’s who happens to work as a registrar for Manchester , allowing the ceremony to be a little more personal. Only four witnesses attended this as our main humanist ceremony was later in the day at ‘Linnet Clough’ Camp site in Mellor where all our guests were attending.
We both knew that we wanted an outdoor festival type of wedding and had been looking at many different wedding venues across the North West that could hold this type of wedding. Many of the venues we looked at were either too expensive for what they were offering or it didn’t suit the atmosphere we wanted to have for the big day.
